ACTING COACH FOR OVER 20 YEARS
Adam Lazarre-White is an actor, writer, director and producer, known for his career in film and television, including Joel Edgerton's directorial debut hit, The Gift with Jason Bateman and Rebecca Hall, Ocean's Thirteen alongside Al Pacino, The Blacklist, Grey's Anatomy, Scandal, Criminal Minds, Rosewood, Private Practice, Lethal Weapon. Adam recurred on HEROES as "Ian", as Monique's love interest on The Parkers, and as "Flynn" in the EMMY winning miniseries, The TEMPTATIONS. Adam is well known for his early starring role as "Nathan Hastings" on The Young & The Restless, which garnered him an NAACP Image Award Nomination for Best Actor in Daytime TV. In addition to his own original screenplays, he has written for NCIS New Orleans and Vin Deisel’s groundbreaking web-series, The Ropes. In 2024, Adam co-wrote and produced the indi TV Series "Chops", streaming in 2025. Adam's current films are, "Depravity" with Victoria Justice, Dermot Mulroney and Taylor John Smith, "Flinch" with Cathy Moriarty and Daniel Zovatto on Amazon Prime, "Blackjack Christmas" streaming on BET+ and "The Old Way" with Nicolas Cage on Apple TV.
Adam grew up in Manhattan and graduated from Harvard University with Honors in Government & Political Philosophy. During summers in college, he cultivated his love for entertainment, writing script coverage for Deborah Schindler and Miriam Beliig. Adam studied acting with Robert Brustein (former head of Yale Drama School & Harvard’s A.R.T.), with Ken Howard (former President of SAG/AFTRA) and Claire Malardie for Alexander Technique. After graduating, he continued training at home in NYC, at T. Schreiber Studios, with Gloria Maddox, Betty Buckley and Terry Schreiber, admired as one of the finest acting teachers in the country.
Adam relocated to Los Angeles and studied with revered teacher Milton Katselas, Jeffrey Tambor and Risa Bramon Garcia’s Master Class. Adam first made a name for himself in Hollywood with a recurring role on Living Single as Queen Latifa's love interest and across from Holly Robinson on Hanging w/ Mr. Cooper. He later Guest Starred on Will & Grace and Girlfriends. Adam also worked with wonderful theater companies, including The Actor’s Gang founded by Tim Robbins and the 'home' of Jack Black, as well as in multiple plays for Director Michael Arabian. After starring on The Young & The Restless, Adam enjoyed years under the tutelage of great playwright and director John Bishop (Trip Back Down, Legacies, Confluence) and the veterans of the famed Circle Rep Co. with Circle Rep. West.
Adam produced and also starred in regional EMMY Winners: Just Passin' Through and What Angels Fear. He also produced and starred in the festival hit, Forgiveness with Richard T Jones. Adam directed his intense short film, "200 Years", for producer Rob Fried (Collateral, Rudy, Boondock Saints).
As an acting coach, Adam has loved teaching both privately and at his acting school, "ALW Acting Studios", for over 20 years with his students growing as artists and working professionals. Adam's practical and entertaining book on acting, "Acting Truth" is currently only available to students but will be published and available for purchase in late 2023!
